Eager to continue her studies in theatre making and directing, she moved to NYC in August of 2016 to begin a year long conservatory program with Anne Bogart’s SITI Company. Shortly after her move, she founded Shellscrape Theatre Company with fellow Fredonia alumni on Roosevelt Island. Now a permanent resident of the city, Elaine continues her work with Shellscrape, has begun freelance directing projects and most recently completed an internship with Off-Broadway theatre company The Civilians, where she worked alongside the team as they produced Duncan Sheik's new musical Whisper House.
